At a time when normal tournament travel for college and high school alike is in doubt, it is more critical than ever for competitive speech and debate programs to demonstrate their ability to adapt, survive, and thrive.

The mission of the Digital Speech and Debate Initiative is to grow and sustain online and in-person speech and debate at the middle, high school, and higher education levels.

The DSDI focuses on three core projects: developing best practices and norms for digital speech and debate, providing curriculum development and training for students and coaches, and being a source of continuous online tournament administrative support.
